    General Inquiry/FAQ thread

If you have a question about a product, what to use or what others think of a product, this is the place to post it. I have made a few how-to videos seen below to help explain how to be successful in FPV. Excuse the echoing, though. I don't have the greatest video cameras in the world, but it's more than enough to get you started.

Attached is my how to choose your antennas document. I suggest reading and understanding it for the best results in your FPV ventures. There is also a tutorial on the website under "How to Choose".

If it is broken, fix it. if it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

I don't have enough information. I need to know your frequency to give you an answer.

I noticed in the documentation you say the CP Bi-Quad has not been perfected yet. I was just about to make one, can you elaborate Alex ?

Sadly, I have decided not to release it. It takes me way too long to build. I started to make a batch of 10 of them last night. With the reflectors pre-cut and ready I only had two made in 4-1/2 hours. I have decided to focus my attention on other antenna designs. I am very happy to sell them as kits with the phase shift transformers already done. The design is perfected, but the production os not.

Admittedly this hurts my pride a bit. I finally design my own antenna completely from scratch and I can't sell it due to the production time...

    For 2.4GHz, I prefer a bottom feed. For 1.3GHz, I like a side feed.

A 2.4GHz 5 turn helical weighs between 10 and 12 oz. Very light and compact.

    Hi everyone.

I already have a right circular polarized 8dBi flat patch receiver antenna and BEVRC 2.4G 500mW TX/RX set.

Could I use Cloverleaf and/or Skew-Planar wheel antennas with above items for longer range with success. Or are IBCrazy Vee and Half Wave Dipole more suitable to be used with my 8dBi flat patch?

If you have a CP RX antenna use a CP aerial. Either the SPW or Cloverleaf will do fine. It will blow the Vee out of the water.
