Great! Thanks for the tutorial. Will build on of those to test them.

Q1: Does it work with coper wire?
Q2: How will a housing of plastic (PP) affect the antenna ?

Awesome! I've been waiting to build one of these. I was going to do a helical but I didn't like the size. This is right up my alley. Thanks Alex and Hugo!

    A1: yes, certainly!
A2: Of course. Hugo is actually designing a cover for this with both of our company logos on it!

    My 5.8GHz attempt

Hey guys just finish now my attempt to build the Crosshair for 5.8GHz, I must say that cost me a lot to build and finding the proper wire diameter.

Here are my measurements for CH1 on my Tx (5705MHz)

    Wire diameter: 0.26mm
    Height over reflector: 10.4mm
    Lenght of copper tube: 13.05mm
    Size of reflector pannel: 12000/5705x25.4 = 53.4mm
    Short lenght: 11.08mm
    Long lenght: 13.11mm

For the tube I use an old 2.4GHz rubber ducky dipole that I have on hand.

I attach some pictures of the building process.

Now I just gone crimp my connector and give it a try!!!

Great job Alex and Hugo thanks for this tutorial.

EDIT: And here it is my first quick test:

    Cheers
