    Chris,

What size 4S battery would you recommend in order to get correct CG with the gopro up front? Also, you had initially mentioned the angled motor mounts... I do not see anything about them on the website. Are those still available?

    Best,

    -Tyler

Appelm: it might just be the picture, but are some of those props upside down?

ha.. no they are not upside down.. Those are hq 6x3 props.. I've also tried 6x4.5 which give it some more pop. I'm running this 1800mah Glacier 4s that balances pretty well: http://www.buddyrc.com/glacier-30c-1800mah-4s1p.html

1500mah 4s seems to work well. But 1800+ will work too, especially with 2208 2300kv motors which are heavier than 2204. The motors are behind the center of thrust so heavier motors moves the CG back slightly

Well, last thing I need is another FPV project, but I can't resist this frame. Thinking of a straightforward FPV quad, camera and Vtx. As always, want to keep it light as possible, any suggestion on motors? Debating 2208 vs 2204 2300kv motors.

honestly the 2204 work fine, i just flew almost WOT and the IR thermometer read 80 degrees Fahrenheit with 6x4 apc. the 2208 will provide more instantaneous torque(tighter PIDs) because the stator is longer

spoiler alert: all frames have been quietly shipping out with free tilt motor mounts. unfortunately there's only one left in stock. ETA is Christmas day for the next batch of frames. I'm burning through the rest of the red filament in my printer for the free mounts and then I'll load a black cartridge in there and put them up for $10 or something for future customers. If you've posted a flight or pictures in this thread you'll have some tilt mounts in your mailbox this week.
