Quadcopter squeals and then rolls over and dies

I am mostly a fixed wing guy so please help with your insight.
This flame wheel using KK 2.0 just started doing this where after flying normally for a few minutes it lets out a loud squeal and then rolls over and falls out of the sky. Immediately afterwards all the motors work again.
There is no auto roll function.
I'm guessing its a bad motor or ESC, but since it all works afterwards I'm perplexed and I'm tired of breaking arms!
    Thanks!

Time for the 'wiggle test' done with props OFF!, and that is, fire it up on the bench and give your wires a good wiggle, your looking for a connection that's intermittent, I'd be looking around your ESC's (speedies), speedies make motors make noise. Also, check for any movement in your motors, might be a bearing problem...

She looks super wobbly even when she's flying level, so I'd carefully check the motor shafts, the prop balance and the CG (vertical and horizontal).

Is it just a coincidence that in all three cases documented in your video, the flip happens just after you've yawed to the right?

    Thanks all!
Wiggle test, motor shaft check and prop balance to follow, after I rebuild.
As to the yaw, yes, both times I was rotating around 180 degrees while flying near my top 'speed'. The last two are the same crash.
    Thanks again.

I wonder if it's a motor losing sync when being asked to spin too quickly (as can happen when yawing near full throttle).

Yup that sounds like it has lost sync...

Given the other motors are working fine with the motor/esc combo I would lean towards a dodgy esc, but it could be a problem with timing or other setting.

    ^- What he said.
I had the same problem, was a bad ESC, replaced it and problem went away.
    I even had the squeal....

Okay, I put it back together. Wiggle test showed nothing, no bent shafts, props are mostly balanced. On the bench I cannot reproduce the issue no matter how hard I push the quad. No motor or ESC is getting any hotter than the others.
What does out of synch mean? Do I fix it by recalibrating the FC? If it was a jacked up ESC or motor how would I go about figuring out which one is the culprit since the problem is intermittent?
    Thanks!
