Futaba Receiver - Chopped my antenna off, what wire to REPLACE with?

    Hi,

Flying yesterday, my rotors must have caught my receiver antenna and swiped them off. Lost both antenna.

Lesson learnt, I need to get some plastic housing to keep them out of the way...

    My question:
Can I use any wire with good conductivity to replace my two antenna wires with, or is it very specific?
    - diameter?
    - does length matter?

    Receiver:
    Futaba R7008SB 2.4GHz FASSTest Receiver

It's hard to tell without seeing the connector Futaba use, but you should be able to use these Frsky ones - http://www.t9hobbysport.com/frsky-receiver-antenna

    Edit: Just spotted these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Futaba-Rep...-/150711516193
When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky.

Yeah those look like the same connectors as FrSky gear.

If you're in the US, this is another good retailer: http://www.alofthobbies.com/radio-ge...-antennas.html

I see on the picture that the connectors of the old antenne are still on the socket that is soldered on the receiver mainboard. You can gently whip them of with your nails or carefully with a small flat screwdriver (don't damage the mainboard!!)

The ones from ebay will fit for sure!
