    APM Z2 Configuration Files

    Anyone know where I can find some configuration files for the parameters used with the Z2? I'd like to get this thing dialed in a little better...

    APM Z2 Configuration Files

    no problem to up a config, but aren't there too many setup-specific variables you'd have to adjust to meet your special requirements?
    as for PIDs, the ZII usually flies pretty well with stock settings. if it does not feel agile or crisp enough in stabilized modes, raise roll2srv_rmax and roll2srv_p a bit in small increments.

    I was just wondering if anyone has some files that might be able to work for a generalized case...

    I did a quick internet search... and found the exact same answer that was provided in post #2. The default settings are good enough at first, if you don't like it from there you can tune and change the parameters.

    Check out the auto tune feature, this should get you even closer to a tuned plane.

    Make sure you read through what each mode does when you do your initial setups (hint make sure you take off in manual mode and get some altitude before engaging other flight modes, like FBWA).

    this is my pid- / tecs-config. pretty standard. maybe more helpful than a config-file full of values that don't fit your setup.

    cheers, basti.

    Well i believe most of the PID setting are dependent on the type of servos you are using. I have configured APM for couple of wings with different servos and they all have different response on same PID settings.

    If you are using Hitec metal gear standard servos for ZII then keep it low that is;

    ROLL P = 3
    ROLL I = 1
    ROLL D = 2

    PITCH P = 5
    PITCH I = 1
    PITCH D = 2

    I have also attached the config file for reference.
