    Yep , the reason your getting better range after bending the antenna, is because you have moved the null point (dead area of the antenna straight out the top) to point down , not at you and your receiver as you had before.

    The cased tx he has is the 25mw one ... the 250mw ones are not cased ,and don't have a fixed antenna, never have been.

    And yours is also the 25mw one as well .

    Are they both 25mw? if you look there is an FCC Certified one and a CE Certified one...

    The power outputs aren't the same nor are they measured the same. CE is defined as a power output direct from the device. FCC is defined as a field reading at a specified distance. The FCC version emits the maximum allowable power as defined by Part 15 license free use.
    In layman terms: The CE version will get about 2X range as the FCC version

    i think its a 50mw but it works for now i wil upgrade to the 650mw when i get my 350 quad. thanks for the info.
