Key words "we conclude," again the FAA has self-appointed itself, as judge jury and excutioner, in total disregard of the rulemaking process, if anyone of us did what they are doing, we would end up wearing high risk orange jump suits while cooling our heels in cellblock d.

i think they are laying the ground work for future UAS rules. They have provided the definition so you can't fly FPV and use the model aircraft exception.

Local police if they thought something might be illegal could impound it until they investigate whether it is or not. It might not be legal for them to keep it but you'd conceivable have to sue them to get it back. That confiscate civil property all the time. If they think your rig is a threat to the public, they could take it. Would it be legal for them to? It doesn't make any difference if it not legal; they can do it anyway. If they take it, it's your job to prove they didn't have a right to and try to make them give it back.

Which leads me to wonder if they are now tossing all this crap at the wall because someone has wispered in someones ear over at the FAA "psst the board is going to rule against you on Pirker, better get into advanced damage control mode NOW." So they roll out their version of Bagdad Bob and he spews out the propaganda pressers.

I think that one way that we could hopefully get something done about this is through the current youtube shows. The big names such as Flite Test have huge fallowing and corporate backing and could really make a difference. Flite Test just made 37 grand for Flite Fest, and this shows just what kind support they have from the community. I think we need to talk to Flite Test, Stone Blue Airlines, Xjet (i know you r on here already), TBS, as well as many other established RC shows and see if we can get the word out. These shows have such a big fallowing that even if only one of them took up the cause we wood still have a bunch of RC/FPVers and even non flayers to help with the cause.

I wonder how much the government's concerns about this is driving the FAA's decision to criminalise FPV?

Can't have the watchers being watched can we?
