Yesterday my quad travelled 63.4km from take-off to landing. Looking forward to extend this to 75-80km in a few upcoming days Stay tuned!

    Cool. Congrats.
Could you share some specs on your quad?

Thanks. Well, not all the specs, at least right now. AUW is 2.3 kg, props are 15", battery is 4s7p 24.5 ah. Efficiency achieved is approx 11 gr/watt. Hover time is 1.5 hour, flight time is a little bit less.

Nice! I'll stay tuned, at some point next year I'll take your challenge
If you're a noob, copy 1:1 what somebody already flies without too much questions, you'll find the answers later.

you are flying it LOS... You are doing it wrong.

This^, I have a few TBS frames but they are old tech now, not really good for distance, not really good for serious camera work when you can buy a Phantom for $800.
They should redo the frame giving it more real estate for electronics, larger battery area or alternative mounting, various arm/motor configurations (acro, cruise, endurance) and nothing but the PDB on the frame

Also consider that some of the solutions out there are not really solutions IMO.

TBS frame was never meant to be used as a base for endurance or long range quad. Those aerial mob arms look more facelifting for a milf that started to loose its charm)) BTW, my current frame is only 150 grams and suitable for 15-16 inch props while being able to carry a really HUGE battery pack.

This is what I am saying, someone with the manufacturing gear and time turns out crap, and some guy in a shed in Russia is doing it right.

FFS... 2 CF tubes strapped to a battery with FC got like 90 minutes flight time, and it isn't all about long arms and props, it's about balance between components IMO, just look at the Phantom flying for ~23 minutes with its frame.

If I could get over my dislike of the standard multirotor look, I could easily put together a 1 hour flight time multirotor.

94 minutes with next to nothing for a frame.
