    Ritewing Zypher ll Build

Just got my Zypher ll and want to set it up with two batteries one in front of each servo. Could some one that has done a 2 battery set up explain what and how they did it with pictures if possible. Mine has the camera box in the front so I need to take that into consideration.

    Thanks

    Robert

yep you just build the entire wing all gear installed motor esc servos cameras etc then to set the cg correctly

plce the batts in front of the servos moving them either forward or back till the cg is correct.

trace around them with a sharpie

slice the correct depth with a snap razor

bite out little chunks till the bay is deep enough

    hotglue some coreflute lids

to melt a tunnell to the center bay for the battery lead heat up a pushrod with a lighter and poke it through

    4x 3300 3s hooked up as 6600 of 6s

    motor is a ritewing roket 2856 1400kv on a 7x5 prop

    castle creations ICE 100 esc

    makes 2000w

    AUW is 2.7kg

yesterday i swapped out the motor and esc for a ultra lite setup

    1x 3300 3s

    plush 60

    2505 microdan 1845 on a 7x5 makes about 250 - 300w

about 1.7 or 1.8kg i think. really good slowflyer for nite flying

What type of speed and duration do you get with this setup? What about running a 12,000 3S system?

I'm looking for a middle of the road setup with endurance first and speed second.

    Thanks

had to add ballast, maybe 200g to get it to balance with 1x 3300, it gets 10 mins on that setup mixed flying

it would probably be the same weight if i lost the gopro and ballst and went with 2x 3300

max speed on the 6s setup is around 100 -120mph i think

it will cruise at slow slow slow speed for about 45 mins in theory. i am never that cruel to my batteries though i always leave 30% in the tank

and i rarely fly slow for more than a minute or two.
