Nice Jared! If you've got any pictures of it, I'd love to see how you rigged your pan setup.
    Shut up and fly.

Almost forgotten what slope soaring is like, now I really miss it. Not too many places on this island for it.

Looking good, I'd love to have hills here... but no, Holland is flat as a pancake.

Brett, I've got the ASW 28 in the mail.

No pictures, I can take a few next weekend, but wasn't able this week. Sorry

Anyway, first impressions.... it has a few flaws:

-the wings are a PITA to fit in. Either I'm doing it wrong or it'll need some work to fit properly. I'm going with the latter for now.
-the canopy is weak. I already broke it within five minutes. Like very weak. I'd be afraid to sneeze anywhere near it.
-the wing assembly looks weak. Two screws in a little strip of wood to keep the whole thing from falling apart.
-I'm not sure I can get the 8Ah battery in there. Will be tricky.

    Fortunately, there's good news too:
-it's big. I see lots of lift potential
-it has lots of room. The P/T cam setup will fit underneath the canopy easily.
-the motor looks big & powerful. With 8Ah and a vario on board I probably won't have to stop flying until I get bored. Heck, my ground station will run out of juice before this thing will.
-the fuselage is sturdy. Really sturdy. Much like the raptor. It'll take a hard landing or two

It's not bad, but I'm not impressed either. Once I've fixed the issues I'm sure it'll be a great sailplane
    Cheers,
    Sven

Here's a video showing my Radian doing some urban thermalling. Password is 911rad.

What OSD was that and were did you buy it? Thanks!

That's the Skylark Tiny OSD. Works well but I wouldn't recommend it now as Skylark service is almost non-existent.
I would rather use a MinimOSD on its own or with an Afromini32 for stabilisation/RTH.

Sorry Brett! I've been struck down with a severe case of Girlfriend, which might develop into Fiancée this weekend! I haven't been flying much lately. However, my planes will be going with on our romantic weekend away. She insisted. How can I say no?
By the way, she really wants to learn how to fly a quad. I chose well...
