Nice flight. Next time you are in a strong head wind like that try tracking left or right it might help with penetration of the head wind.

    Thanks,
In paragliding school I was taught to step on the "speedbar" a device that pulls the leading edge of the paraglider forward, makes you fly faster but also sink out faster too. In the RC world the closest approximation I could come up with was reflexing the ailerons. I was able to escape the headwind by making both ailerons simultaneously do "up elevator" basically. Once I pulled free of the lift band a bit I was able to progress normally without any aileron trickery.

Yes, reflex would work too except like you said the sink rate can be too much; I wasn't sure if you were close enough to home where using reflex didn't matter.

    Happy Flying!

Any recommendations on an upgrade from the Cularis for an electric FPV glider? It seems there a few routes to go including:
    1) Buying a plane like the fascination or gracia
    2) Purchasing a used composite glider from one of the locals
    3) Scratch building or kit building a balsa ship.

Since it's an FPV plane, I want to retain some of the durability for harsher landings, but also have a step up on improvement. Let me know what you all are flying these days. I have about $500 to put towards the airframe and model electronics, but also a decent amount of time to do some building.

Fascination or Gracia could work but thatís going to be an expensive option. Iíve been looking at Multiplex Heron as a possible FPV platform.

I wish HobbyKing still made the Aether. Iím still working on mine after all this time. Just ordered a Pitlab flight controller for it, that was the last part I needed.

Turn a 2.6 meter foamy into a 3.6 meter foamy using the Armin method?
