Picture below - if you want more details I can make more pictures of the canopy tomorow ;-)

If you will have interest I can send you the STL files of the aerodynamic housing too.

It would’ve nice to show the pics of the aerodynamic housing. Thanks.

Also, if anyone owns a ClearView XLR and knows a VTX manufacturer with a compatible audio modulation frequency, I'm all ears. I've tried VTX's both from RMRC and FoxTech with no luck.

Thanks, I have a runcam split I was debating if I should go with or not; I'm more concerned about aerodynamics than HD video. I'd love to get a stl file if possible on several camera mounting options.

@Rfriedman, an stl file would be great. TIA.

Yes Rfriedman, if you make anything .stl to fit the Runcam Eagle2 cam IŽd be happy to upgrade

    Hi Mike,

sorry to be late, my computer came on strike :-)

The camera mount is just a drop shape in two parts with square hole inside. Parts are secured to each other simply by electrical tape - bit of hot air from hair dryer was needed to let it shape/glue right. Camera housing is made not long because of drag in turned position. Because I was not sure about the angle, had glued it on piece of carbon/glass rod with CA ( print is from PETG which is great gluable with CA). The rod is tight slided inside of glassfiber tube and secured through M3 screw from backside (where is the airflow turbulent anyway). On bottom of glassfiber tube is epoxied middle part of control horn for attaching the whole pad direct on servo head. Servo is some Hobbyking 180° which with throws 125/140% on Jeti and view angle of Runcam Split gives view more as 300 degrees. Servo is mounted to two hard foam blocks. Runcam main board is mounted to distribution board that is simply sticked by double sided thick tape.

With this pod is the sink ratio in calm conditions significantly under 0,5m/s even the Fascination has now over 3,8 kg, therefore I do not see some big participation on drag of whole plane.

I will look in working bench computer till end of the week for the .stl files of camera housing ;-)

BTW - HD is IMHO great, if nothing else at least for analysis, because in HD you can see more details in shape and color of the clouds - I can see that I was on "hairy" side of the cloud where the sink was etc. ... and the Split cam modules are so tiny... special now on V2S :-)

The attachments are invalid, thanks for the info.. I'll give it a go probably with the Runcam slit which is the V1 I think; I haven't even opened the box since purchased in 2017.

Kahnx had the right idea with his runcam split glider (Funray).

I think better aero could be attained however than what he did. I would be inclined to affix the camera straight to the servo head (no L bracket for weight reduce) and bury the board in the fuselage instead of making a weird aero triangle. Runcam makes a "lens cable- long" if the cabling isn't long enough fuselage to camera.

Has anyone installed the Rud servo in the vert. fin yet on the fascination? I'm thinking about installing the servo in the fin in order to save space for the Vector under the saddle along with eliminating the pull pull system of the rudder as well. What have you guys found to be the best placement of the Dragon Link antenna? I.E. center panel or tailboom?

I'm fond of burying the Dragonlink antenna in the tail feathers and laminating over the top. The antenna is still pretty long so you still get a bit of "whisker" poking out of the top of the vertical stabilizer.

If for some reason the vertical stab isn't an option I like the IBcrazy dipole. It's a slightly heavier antenna that will stay rigid on it's own.
