Unbelievable ! can not get back into configuration, FTDI or OSD

EDIT: Think I have a Duff board or something, takes at least 1 hour of attempts to flash new firmware. I just can not track down what is upsetting this board but I'm starting to think now it was just a coincidence as standard baseflight Firmware displays the same symptoms. I truly have had enough of it now.

    Recommendations.
Not sure where default Exponential of about 70% came from? should be set to 30% max.
Mixer is wrong as said it has to be 50%.. possibly people complaining were trying to fly with 70% expo

Dump for info, basically except for some throttle (simonK esc's are 1060~1860) settings it's your default recommended. If we can fix this bug I can give more feedback, even though I've had problems I appreciate your effort and firmware, thanks

It's really frustrating with "glitching" hardware.
I have some Acro and 10Dof boars with bad USB ports...

From the beginning the MWii was written for basic transmitters without programming.
    RC throw is only 90%.
Rc Expo is default set to 65 in both MWii & Baseflight!.
On the planes I remove Expo in FC and use dual rates and expo in the Transmitter instead! (Taranis)

When it comes to the Flying Wing mixer it's a matter of taste..
Some want's to have it symmetrically and others just want absolutly Max on everything.
I'm not sure but it feels it's easier to limit the rates than expand it for a user.

Best is to Use Smix as i mentioned earlier and make a personal mixer.
    There you can tweak everything.

Hope you get your hardware sorted..

I really think that Naze has had its' day especially for fixed wing. It has been ongoing frustration for me due to lack of decent firmware and promises of fixes that never worked. Time moves on and so does technology and unless there is a dedicated programmer then Naze will go nowhere. I have had enough of it. So what have I done? Some research for a start and I have found exactly what I was looking for.
A simple to use Gyro with a reliable RTH and it works so well I bought another one. Can't believe I wasted so much time on the Naze. Yes I had mediocre success but the Bigaole is so far ahead for fixed wing and so reliable I am a convert.
It has already saved my X5 when I lost it in the sun and gives me peace of mind when I am flying. If you are into FPV this s the way to go.
    https://alofthobbies.com/bigaole-6g-ap.html

It is available from different sources so check it out. Might save you some headaches and a plane or two.

This is 100% my opinion. Readers can make up their own minds.
I appreciate the work that those have done on the firmware but all it has done is cost me wasted time for little gain especially when I am 67 and not as techno as some on here. I wanted something that just worked and now I have found it.

I have been thinking about this problem and wonder if it has something to do with the GPS port, from the start the GPS never performed as well as when directly connected to Ucenter.

There is so little information on ports on the Afromini ?

I had all this running fine on a tea tray for a few weeks before the final install

The only tel-tale Was I have seen It go really slow in the configurator when changing settings related to ports and telemetry

A couple of years back I tried to get a Afromini running with GPS functions in Cleanflight, I got it working but it was intermittent, but I could always connect to the board.

I have Apm's working fine but I just wanted something small and light for smaller planes

I have thought about a simple Autopilot many times though , I don't mind the work and have plenty of patience but this one has got to me for sure. I do appreciate hearing others have suffered though

It does seem like a nice simple straight forward way to get stabilization/RTH function on your plane. Overall I haven't had too much trouble getting a Naze up and running. Biggest detractor IMO for the Naze would be its hard to install without some soldering. I like being being able to tinker with the settings, and see how it affects the plane in flight. For me, half the fun is the building, and getting all the tech parts working together.

I know some boards share the uart for the usb and serial ports and for you to get it to connect to USB you have to unplug the serial port. I know the Afro Mini's don't have a usb but could this be a similar issue?

It's supposed to be UART 1 for the FTDI and UART 2 I have connected to the GPS, Baseflight Config says 3rd serial required for GPS.

PatrikE, do you know exactly what you should set for GPS on Afromini ?

Well, eventually I ripped out the FC, just could not get it to flash even with the Boot loader pins soldered. The last couple of times I flashed it it would not verify (locked up) strange dead now regarding flashing

So I pulled another Afromini from a Quad and have just finished installing it.....at least it seems to reliably connect

Hi Patrik, do you know the priority order of functions when enabled on a switch and there are conflicts? In particular I'm not sure where passthrough fits in. e.g. if have LEVEL and PASSTHROUGH enabled at same time? Or RTH and PASSTHROUGH (!!) Also is it same for MW/BF?

I ask to ensure OSD display matches the function correctly. At moment I have passthrough behind level modes, but think this may not be the case

    HOLD
    RTH
    PASSTHROUGH
    LEVEL
    HORIZON
    ACRO
