No need to be sorry greevedogg. The X8R just needs each channel wired to the Naze individually as ezekiel12 says. No reason you can't use a D4R-II Rx instead.
If you want PWM then this RX is much smaller than the XR8 and although advertised as a 7 Ch it is actually an 8 Ch.

Hey greevedogg! Funny seeing you over here (ChickenWingFPV on rcg) i just set up an L9R with a naze. That rx doesn't do ppm either, but i bought this: http://www.alofthobbies.com/frsky-sbus-converter.html
    Works great!

I tried cleanflight once, but could never get it to work properly. The servos would constantly twitch no matter what. I loaded baseflight and it worked prefect. Curious if anyone else has tried yet. Maybe I missed something?

Panther, I just have the X8R laying around, so I figured I'd try to use it instead of buying another D4R, that's all... Hey, ChickenWing =) I'm finally getting around to building my Teksumo lol

Well, I'll see how it goes... If CleanFlight won't play nice, I'll flash back to baseflight... I'll try to make my own breakout cable it looks like...

Is PatrikE's RTH code now fully integrated and up-to-date now in the 3/27/2015 release of Baseflight? I see it was added in the Changelog, but wanted to double check before switching over to this firmware, as I've been using the one in PatrikE's signature. Thanks!

I have been flying my TekSumo for about 3 weeks now. I love the thing. I can show some more pics if you want modification ideas.

Nice job! I designed a blunt section for the teksumo that hangarcats are selling now... But I haven't had a chance to actually build mine lol... I have a 2 year old son that takes all my free time!

Thanks for the quick response, ezikiel12.

I have a question regarding baseflight and RC rates. I have a flying wing and would like to use a different expo rate for the pitch and roll axes. In baseflight, I can see there is only one setting for RC Expo, which applies to both control axes. Is there a way to set them separately?
