    There is one...

The 'Dev' branch is where the latest code is being committed, but the last commit is the stuff I did, anything Patrik has worked on *since* then is not in there.

Baseflight lacks the newer PID controllers and support for the other faster new Boards for the Quad brigade. Still it's perfect for us here the New Cleanflight GUI is crap and besides the limited functionality of the modes selection the GUI is easy to see on a small netbook in the sun at the flying field.

Are we going to get Angle as a default option then ?

Just got back from maiden. My Baseflight FW cherry has been popped.
Plane flew OK in pass through, needed a bit of trim. Has downthrust issues.

Horizon mode, Angle mode worked great out of the box. The only thing I changed was rc_rate (and the individual component rates). But I don't think this made much of a difference.
I'll drop down the rth bank angle as it's 30 now and it's too much. Held a nice tight circle around my head with a radius of about 15 meters so quite small.

The only thing I could not get to work was the GPS mode auto launch... It seemed to me it would go into horizon or angle mode rather than RTH mode. Still got in the air OK but would have liked to see a nice climbout.
They way I did it was select the mode with the plane armed but throttle at 0. Throw the plane and quickly jump on the throttle. Next time I will try a frisbee launch with the throttle going before I toss.

Just need to tidy up the wiring, add an OSD, Cam and TX and I'm good to go... Oh and transfer my trimming back to baseflight so that there's no difference between passthrough and the stabilisation modes. Not sure what the best way to do that (I know, mechanically, :-)... But I will figure it out.

That's the throttle safety lock I don't like. Auto launch/RTH will not engage without some throttle

Well that can be considered a lost model without RTH.
Keep em up and give feedback!..
That's the best motivation for people that is developing.

    Autolaunch/RTH.
In "Launch mode" it will not navigate until it reaches 20m over ground.
It just starts to climb with level wings in Angle Mode.
The real RTH only starts after the plane reached the safety height (20m).
Theory behind that is Then it should be clear from most trees and buildings around.

But you need to make sure you have a GPS Fix and Home is set properly first.
You can check it like this if you don't use OSD.
First place the plane on the ground.
Do a Gyro calibration to make sure you didn't move the plane when you plugged in the battery.(Stick combination)
The Home Pos will also be erased by calibration and will be saved when you ARM the plane first time.

    On the ground Before launch.
Arm motor with throttle LOW to save correct HomPos and Alt.
    Now it's ready for takeoff.

    Disable Passthru,
    Enable RTH,
Raise throttle and the motor should rev up to full throttle if GPS is good.
    Then everything is set correctly.

Now the plane should do a Nice "Straight" climb to 20m and then turn back towards home and continue to climb up to RTH Altitude.

I'm working on editing the video right now - I had 4 high speed quads chasing my plane and you can see just how stable and smooth horizon mode was throughout the flight.

This turned out to be the culprit - a single rca cable from my diversity receiver setup.

I have some other small issues I'm working out but with the new PIDs - the bird is just flying absolutely beautifully. The other FPV guys on the ground were all saying none of their banshee's flew that well - but it really did fly like it was on rails.

Didn't even really need RTH there. Could still see the OSD information fine. Easy enough to fly it home with that, then land LOS.
