    Problem EzUHF module with Taranis

I have a problem with my new EzUHF JR module and the Taranis.
There's a lot of buzz coming from the speaker and on high power sometimes the cursor on the display jumps one line down like pressing the button.

When I touch the Antenna (Diamond 771) directly above the SMA connector the buzz completley stops.
Same when the Antenna touches the radios handle.
Also when I connect a 20cm piece of wire with both ends to the SMA's ground there's no buzz (without touching it).

At the old module the SMA connector ist mounted directly to the aluminium case.
So I took a look inside the JR Module. There's a small piece of coax cable from the PCB to the SMA connector.

    My question is:
Can I connect the SMA ground to some copper tape on the case or will that cause problems?
Or would it be better to connect it to ground at PCB side?

I'm not sure if this would bring the antenna out of tune...

Thanks, but shielding the audio path does not help for the jumping cursor.
Unfortunately the Taranis is poor designed in RF resistance...

What model Taranis do you have? I am gonna guess version A cause this is the worst of the two runs so far, and is also the same one I have with buzz. The second run (B version) is suppose to be better and from what I have heard there are multiple companies working on the solution. Many many psudo fixes but nothing concrete. Sucks for such a great radio to have such a huge flaw.

    I have the B version.
With the internal module there is nearly no buzz, but with the EzUHF on hi power it's really bad.
This thing picks up a lot of RF. If you're flying with the radio on your knees and a cellphone on your pocket you can hear if someone is calling a few seconds before the phone rings.

Unfortunately it's not a problem of a specific part, it's the complete design with many boards and a bunch of wires (groundloops).
But it's a bit strange that the buzz completely stops by touching the antenna near the connector...

I have the older EzUHF module running on my Taranis with no issues.

I also have the old module, got the new one only a week ago.
It's attatched to my T8FG and I can put it as close as possible to the Taranis backside, no buzz.

Therefore my question about connecting some shielding to the SMA ground.
We will see, I ordered copper tape.

Dont need anything fancy for testing... just take a piece of wire for the time being and twist it around the handle and around the diamond ground.

I suspect the Taranis needs a lot more shielding than just the audio. Here's something I noticed with the old style can EZUHF:
