Hex used to film Sochi SlopeStyle

Thought I saw a hex, then saw other cams on wires, and thought i may be been mistaken. Then i saw an unmistakeable shadow of a hex, then later i saw it again!

I didnt get a pic, and havent heard about it, but for sure, there is multis in use for the Olympic coverage. Just thought that was a really cool thing.

    *edit*
found a pic, but its not mine.

I saw it too! I think it was a hex at the top of the course, then a cam on a wire for the bottom.

I wonder what cam they used on that - I couldn't see it on the TV, but they were using shots from the copter seconds after live in the replays, and I'm watching in HD broadcast.

Was very interested to see this, I hope one doesn't crash!

Glad I am not the only one who saw it.

I noticed this too. It was quite prominent in the BBC footage. Never appeared to go very far from the top of the course so I'm guessing it was only setup for extremely close range. Maybe they were getting the video off a GoPro wifi link or something.

Hmm, if it's that, it's not a hex at all, but a quad with retractable landing gear that makes it look like a hex. Interesting.

i saw that video last night with the X8 and watched very closely...
However, im still not convinced that is THE one that we saw near the top. Looking closely at that pic (and yes, its a lo res blurry-ish pic so i could be wrong), you can see the landing gear is down, and you can see at least 5 props, and none of them have blades on the underside as well.
They may have multiple setups going on there.
