Arducopter 2 Camera Stabilization + Jakub's GoPro gimbal

Short test of the camera stabilization in Arducopter 2.0.49 Beta. I've set this arducopter up for hexa plus and camera stabilization is on by default. I just adjusted the camera trims and servo travel using the APM Mission Planner. This will be getting installed on a UAP1 frame from AGL Hobbies.

Right now I am using HXT900 9g servos, but will be swapping them out with something faster and smoother later on. Maybe HS-65MGs? Any suggestions on smooth relatively fast servos?

Nice, did you have to adjust the code or any other modifications? I have had a hard time getting good info on cam stab setup on diy drones.

Not hard at all. No need to modify any code. All I did was adjust the CAM_xxx parameters in Mission Planner Configuration. The only thing I needed to do was adjust the endpoints in there and reverse the Roll direction.

Go with digital servos for the gimball, this is going to bu much smoother. Also get yourself a shock absorber from a 1/16 - 1/18 rc car to damper the movement.
Long range FPV is so 2009

    thanks, saucisse.

I've got a crawler that I use for FPV, but it's going to be missing a shock tonight

I'll take a look on servocity to see what I can get installed on here.
