i m looking for a stronger motor for my zeph and the ntm 35-30 is the one i thought about to buy.

can you give me a short review about it? i m not sure about the quality.

currently i use a hyperion z3007 - 26 with a hp titan 30a esc. the motor weights only 57grams and gives a trust of 1.2kg with a 9x5 apc folding prop on 3s. around 250watts. my 48" zeph weights 1.5 kg. so the performance of this setup is really nice:

    - flighttime 30min on 2 x 3s 2200mah
    - theoreticly range of 30 km, proved 15km with batt half drained.
    - flightspeed: level 50 kmh, full throttle 70 - 80kmh

But I want more power in critical situations, and a higher travel speed. I also want to add a gopro. I m unsure if i really need the bigger motor and if it wouldnt destroy the performance.

No worries the quality of the ntm motors are top notch and that have turned into my Goto motor. I'm still getting the 35-30 dialed in. If you want a lot of power go with the 35-36 if you can balance it out. I had that on my last wing and I had an 89mph straight line top speed.

Thanks for sharing this!! I just started flying a Tek Sumo as well to prepare for the upcoming ZII... I just ordered the same power setup as yours and plan on a similar build.

Any tips and tricks for the build you might think of?

Make sure you do all you wiring before you glue both halves together and cut out so the engine can be mounted more forward than its stock position

Thanks a lot for the tips. Right now I am moding my current Sumo to place my electronics like yours. Once I get the new motor I'll be able to slap the 2 3s and do a cleaner build.
I'll post pictures once I am done with this one so I could get input for the next build

Here are some more pictures, I am about finished.
I removed the stock Deans connection to remove the bulk and add reliability . I cut out a notch so all components fit snuggly in the center. I added a flap the the center, all that is left is adding velcro ot close the whole thing up.
I also included a picture of the side with the RX so you can see how I made the stabilisers removable.

Here is a diagram showing what I did and why. I hope it helps, and if anyone sees something I can improve I would love the feedback!

Thanks for sharing the build, good idea with the rx placement and removable wingtips. I am curious if the teksumo will have the same problem as a lot of maxi swifts and want to flip over uncontrollably when you do a full speed dive.
