I have no idea what happened here but it kinda ruined my day when I discovered it..

This is/was an IRC 600mw VTx. Would this be worth repairing or should I just throw it away? I guess the output power would get reduced?

(can provide a better photo when i take it off)

If it was powered on when it came off then the RF power amp is toast.
When the Governments can't Control or Regulate it ALWAYS becomes illegal.
400' Alt rule does not apply. I did FPV long before it was called FPV.
I find the closer to the ground I get my chances of crashing increases .

agreed its a simple resolder but as mentioned if it was powered on when it came off its smoked, it is worth a try though, ive fixed one or two that came off in a crash and they worked after, usually because the battery was ejected at the same time luckily.

If the amp needs replacing it is a HMC406. It will take a lot of heat to remove from the board as it is attached to it on the bottom of the IC. The other bits around will also fall off so keep track where they go.

I don't know when it came off, it was not in flight, perhaps under transportation. It looks like the pads are off the pcb and still on the connector, perhaps too much work..
I've already ordered a new one and will try to glue the connector on it. Someone in need of a broken vtx?

    Hi, i have a pz0420 and ...

I was wondering if anyone managed to repair this camera ...i accidentaly switched polarity and now all seems allright even if the camera does not work. All things run from 5v or 3.3 and all are working. What kind of sensor does it have ?
I have a blank dark screen video signal ...osd not working...
Wondering what could have gone wrong...for shure some clock but in absence of some schematics its hard for shure to troubleshoot, but i will try for the love of doing it

Ps: does someone have schematics ?

    Martin,

I could use your keen eye on this. I have a bunch of FX7xx video transmitters on my bench (Fx758 based transmitters from lumenier, and readymaderc - ie like the Cricket 200mw, and Cricket 600mw, FX799T, etc)...

The broken ones I have are showing a short between power and ground, and after removing a bunch of components, I've narrowed it down to this QFN-20 package. The identifier is ground off, but near as I can tell, it's a combination mosfet driver and led driver. All the channel indicator leds are tied into this QFN package and I would imagine - power to the FX758 module as well.

Any ideas what this component is? I spent 2 hours on digikey looking at QFN-2 datasheets under LED Drivers and came up dry. I also poked around aliexpress, but that's a little like looking for a single needle in a stack of needles.

Pin 1 on the 1st image is the bottom left, Pin 1 on the 2nd image is bottom right (I think).

Image 1 - the selector button is tied to that middle pin on the left side of the IC. For the 2nd image, the button is tied to the top pin of the left side of the IC.

    Thanks in advance!
