The center pin in my Negoya LRS antenna pulled out which resulted in me running my DTF UHF without an antenna. It now walks all over my video feed and won't keep a signal. Is there any way to salvage it? I've opened it up but can't find any burned components.

The rf module is toast and I would get another antenna also.

400' Alt rule does not apply. I did FPV long before it was called FPV.
I find the closer to the ground I get my chances of crashing increases .

Not sure... but perhaps consider soldering wires directly to the board. That may be more reliable.

Thanks Martin, this gives me an excuse to get the radio module version I suppose.

I managed to break the connector off of the board on my Fat Shark CCD 420 pilot cam camera. I think I can solder a new connector if I can find one. Anyone know what type of connector this is and where to find it?

    Thanks,

I always solder the wires directly to the cam board as well as the vtx board. It's more secure than those finicky connectors, and less failure points.

Anyone knows where to get one of these power inductor in the USA? I'm trying to fix my Fatshark 5.8GHz 250mW transmitter before the 27th of June for a race. The ones I've found so far comes from overseas and seem to take a month to arrive. Thanks!

A quick update. I was lucky to find a manufacture's part number that I was able to use on DigiKey since using their search function was not being very friendly with the results.

    Here is the link: http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...36-1-ND/754634

As far as I can tell, it meet the same specs. So, I ordered 5 of them since these components are so fragile and unprotected I hope it works...

    Cheers!

That will work just fine. Most of the replacement parts have been posted before here. Just need a little diggin around to find them. Think I will post a part list in the first post page to keep track.

    Hi Martin!

Thanks for the response. If you need any pictures of the Fatshark 5.8GHz 250mW transmitter components, at least the ones that are exposed, please PM with an address of where to send them.

Afraid that one of those SMD component might become a casualty during a future crash, I took a picture of every component with my digital microscope to see what they are in case I have to replace it in the future. That is why I ordered 5 of those power coils. Seems to be one of the most exposed and vulnerable components on that board.

    Take care!

    Miguel

At lease they break off and not tear off the traces.
