Hey Squish - I just saw your YouTube comment on that... With some frequency management that can be dealt with. Lots of very successful FPV Meets across the US (California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, and others) for a number of years now all refined over time. But it's true... some management is needed. The point is this is a fun focused event for all things FPV and a neat way to get to see FPV setups, talk to those doing it and have some fun at the same time in an event like setting... and at an airport runway with FAA waivers (if all goes as planned). I don't think most would find that a bad thing.

This could be something I might fly out from CA to attend. Subscribed!

Lol, Yeah... we had a near altercation last year too. We've been lucky to this point that there hasn't been any major problems, but it keeps growing. I think this year is going to have to bring some frequency coordination. I like the lanyard idea.

I must be old... back in the LOS RC day before 2.4 we only had 72mhz control and EVERY flight field had some form of frequency control. Even at my last meet of 20 pilots we had issues... mainly a drunk Yuvski and me running around trying to facilitate everything and leaving my own plane on... and quads in close with planes out far.

Lanyards or frequency tags or an old style board... have to do something. But expect conflicts and have a plan to communicate when it happens. Pilots only flying from one area (inside a circle drawn on the ground to power up vtx) is best. Also, have time for close in multirotor flying and others times for long fixed wing flights... the two don't mix well.
If you are not trying to fit through an opening that is just too tight, you are not FPVing.
