    Clean frame enclosure?

Have you ever thought about getting a vacuformed lexan enclosure made for the clean frame area? I am sure the aero improvement would improve flight characteristics. It would sure as hell make quads look cooler too. Guys could do cool paint like the heli canopies. .030" lexan is light and very tough.

Surely this would just create more of a Sail effect making the quad more susceptible to wind gusts and possibly introduce resonant vibrations through the clean frame

I think it depends on what your goals are. An aerial photog would have no use for it. It could be a sail and push a copter out of position or cause weathervaning. Guys that rip around and have fun would love it and cooler looking quads would sell more units from a marketing perspective. The current erector set look lack mass market sex appeal.
