I have Pixhawk and a px4flow sensor I would like to test, either I will have to wait for AC 3.3 to come out or find a beta firmware with support now.

Any ideas as to where I shoud be looking?

There is enough YouTube videos out to suggest some one has the px4flow figured out, but I have not.

Being the thread starter I should keep up to date on this but that the fork from pixhawk and apm 2.6 happened yet. Specifically for plane?

    Hello everyone.
I am currently a very happy owner of an easystar 2 with rvosd. I am currently building a skywalker and I am thinking of using an apm.

I am between the following 2:
    1. https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...dproduct=58283
    2. https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...dproduct=74652

Could I use the micro version of the controller. So far from what I have read both have the same features. Is there a reason why should I prefer the full size version?

Yes you could use the micro, but you will need a way to power your servos on the micro since all it puts out is signal. FWIW the full size apm sits nicely just below the wings.

I didnt think of that. Any other suggestions?

    Is the telemetry module necessary?

Telemetry is a love hate/deal..... I have never bought the HK APM, but have not heard too many good stories about them. I have a couple of rctimer 2.6 and a banggood mini which I still haven't really tried yet. Personally I would stay away from HK. Why are you moving away from RVOSD anyhow?

For what it's worth, I have the full size RCTimer version in my Bixler2 with MinimOSD and telemetry. I don't see any advantage to going with mini especially on a bird as roomy as the Skywalker. Making all the necessary connections should be much easier on the fullsize as well.
As for the telemetry, It can be very useful if you fly a lot of auto missions but only if you fly from a monitor.

I am not abandoning the rvosd. The skywalker will be my second platform and I was thinking of using something different.

Telemetry seem useless to me since I fly with gogles. I will only need the bluetooth module.

Which ventors are considered to sell reliable versions of apm.

Well, other than 3DR, RCTimer does seem to have a fairly large following and mine has been rock solid going on 2 years. The Hobbyking version seems to get mixed reviews as does the Whitespy version, mostly about cabling/connection issues.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
