Small update, getting it done! There's not a lot left to do now. I'll have it ready for a maiden by the time the weather cooperates... lol

Pretty much done, just needs setting up now. Then I can fly it.

My batteries were a bit of a tight fit inside the frame, and needs to slide too far forward to balance it so I put it on top. It will be easier to change them out anyway. lol

Your build looks great Keith. What motors did you end up going with?
When nothing else out there will suit your needs... design and build it yourself.

They're SunnySky V2216 1250kv. Most people run 8" props on these, but I've found they have more punch with 9.5x4.3 HQ props, and still run warm on 4S not hot. Hence the extended arms to clear them. We'll see how the Naze likes that power on a light quad though, I may still step down to 8" props if I need to. I ran this setup on a heavier quad and it was silky smooth, but it may not be so easy to tune on this lighter one... lol

WMOSD? I'll be using it too, just got it up and running on my spanky and seems pretty good. What's that power regulator, looks pretty serious!

It's funny seeing you build this thing Keith. Your long range fixed wing video's are some of the stuff that got me into FPV a little over a year ago and my first real craft was a 400Q-X. Now you're building one and mine is sitting in pieces until I decided to rebuild it. Focusing on fixed wing's now ;-) Either way, it's a great quad and I hope you like it!

The OSD is the board from Witespy with KVOSD firmware on it. It's the same one I had on my HTFPV, I liked it. The power regulator is a SEPIC type, step up/down that holds it's output whatever you adjust it to. I use them in my planes too and like them, the output is clean enough that I don't need an LC filter for good clean video most of the time. Like this - http://www.dpcav.com/xcart/Adjustabl...EPIC-Type.html They're a little large, but I had a couple of spares so I used it... lol It's stepping the 4S voltage down to 12V for the vtx and camera.

Ok my 12v regulator is tiny, I feel a little inadequate now
I'm using the witespy board with MWOSD, I can't remember the difference but I think MW is the newer branch of KVOSD. I don't know if there's really any big differences though.

looks good! recently i've ditched the $12-15 step downs for $1 Lm7812 and a capacitor on input/output.
