Nice video, as long as you weren't having a negative impact on the firefighters and kept well away from all aircraft, I'm fine with it. Beautiful ending shots!
The "stir" is that this video has shown how effective these craft can be. The usual press here in Aus seems to be mostly negative....this is good. Parts of the vid have been replayed by most of our television stations, and media interest was solid. The vid was shot by one of my mates, who wishes to remain anon. Funnily enough, we have been showing our local Rural Fire Service guys how effective these craft are for monitoring back burns just recently. Time will tell, but i imagine these will be kit for a lot of emergency departments in the years to come.
This is what it is.
They have two in use by the CFA in Victoria. Well they have one that has been in the news at least twice, and have commissioned the other two.
I really would like to get into this professionally. I need more practice first though. THEN I will look at the $10,000+ it will cost in red tape and licenses.![]()
Its good to get some positive promo after the usual media "evil drones" spin! Cool video

seems to have drawn the attention of CASA - the Australian aviation regulator.
No indication in the vid that that landholders approval had been granted, what the purpose of the police tape around the shed was, whether the active fire edge had aircraft working on it etc etc hence the warning from regulator.
I have heard of (QLD) fire service radios causing problems with RC aircraft ..... dropping the copter on the fire crew probably wouldn't have improved their day.

How is this line from the below article... The media love selling fear.
One firefighting pilot has died so far this bushfire season, though there is no suggestion a drone was involved in that incident.

Agreed. Good work that journalist.
OK, let's make a list.....
Long term, multirotors will be commonplace in field kits for:
1) FIREFIGHTING.
