Antennae question: Can I use the blue beam ultimate antenna set with a linear patch

    Hi,
My tripod ground station uses 2 receivers (1.2 G) hooked to a diversity switch. I currently use 1 Patch antenna and 1 cheap whip linear antenna.
Today I ordered the Ultimate antenna set from Sierra RC to replace my cheap omni on both my Tx and my Rx. Would I still be able to receive the signal emitted from the Tx with my linear 8db patch?
    Thanks

It will work, however you will lose up to 3dB of signal strength.

    Thanks,
So would it be wise to buy a higher gain antenna or should I get a helical antenna?

Like gaahrdner said it will work fine except for some loss. A better match would be a crosshair or helical.
