Tiny OSD III went bad after firmware upgrade

    Hello all!

I had bought Skylark Tiny OSD III and I was using it smoothly for 2 weeks but tonight. I tried to upgrade the firmware.

Update was successful and the software told something like "returning to application" and then osd went bad. I cant get any signal from it.

The led on the mainboard is no longer on, but the led on the gps module is on. When I plug in the usb to osd and computer, the led on the main circuit is on for 1/10 second (very short time) and then never lit again.

What might have happened? Is it useless now?

I've been trying to contact skylark for days but they do not respond any of my emails nor they did accept me on skype

This happened to me but luckily I bought it from RMRC. I don't think they are supporting the old style Trace < III because they sent me a new IV as a replacement. Keep pestering them and you will get through. Send it USPS Registered Mail, cheapest and best.

    Hey,
It took a while but they responded. They told me to send the osd to their address for further investigation.

just tonight I installed the latest config program, and set it to windows xp service pack 3 compatible in the preferences of the program (windows 7). once i did that, the whole thing worked. Before I set the compatibility mode mine was failing to communicate though the usb interface nor was it working on the camera system. as of this point I'm running 2.8 perfectly fine. Try it and see if it helps. I hope it does for you guys, as i don't think it was a lucky fluke. Try this first
