    4 channel lite broken

I have been having some issues with my 4 channel lite and today I took off the shrink wrap. The receiver light just fell off. So I think I found my problem.

What do I need to fix it?

Looks easily repairable to me? All you need to do is figure out where the Kathode and Anode of the Led needs to be, solder it back and you're good to go

Why am I not surprised with the way you typically cras... err fly?

Just use a fine tipped soldering iron to put it back on, one pad at a time, it is e LED, thus it has a anode and a cathode, so make sure you put it on the right way around! (I think I know what the next question will be).

I can't put it back on. There isn't enough pad on the LED to stick it down. I tried

yes I do need the answer to the next question. I'm a teacher, not a engineer. I know nothing! how do I tell which is the anode and which is the cathod? Which direction does it need to go?

It is a 0805 (package) RED (color) LED (light emitting diode), any generic one will do, the datasheet will have the pin-out. The stripe in the LED symbol corresponds with the stripe on the PCB, that's the pad closest to the edge of the PCB, on the right in your picture. Is that enough information for you to get this sorted?
