RVJet 'Tractor" Conversion!?!? What do you guys think?

    Hello all,
I wanted to know some of your guys opinion (pros/cons') if there is a market
for a 'Tractor' Conversion RVJet? (Prop in Front).

I'm in the process (waiting) for one to be made by a member that has built Planes for over 25years using CNC and all other high end Machine Gadgets.

Its going to be a very simple plug and glue type conversion, with
'reinforcements' to distribute motor power evenly on the front end attachment.
(Test flights in the upcoming week).

It would (ofcourse) replace the front Pan/Tilt setup that comes
with the RVJet. I hardly use my GoPRO anyways. It would require bare minimum attachment to the front end of the RVJet of the user. It would not destroy the planes current state. You can go back and forth (Pusher---->Tractor).

I wanted this because of Four (in a half) things.

    1. FLying wings, I hardly used Pan/Tilt.
    2. Launching 'Pusher' Props was too dangerous for me.
(Finger shredders'). My Opinion over the years.
    3. "Tractor" planes for me is quieter and 'feels' soo much more powerful!
    4. I have used Tractor FPV planes for 3.5yrs now and I
really do prefer the prop in view. More Immersive for me!

    Just wanted your thoughts.....
I know there are 'die hard' RVJet keep it as is, but this adds' another
    flavor to this plane.....

My biggest question is Why? Your killing the one gadget the jet has over its competition.
Dios wing is Way different to a jet.... Can't really compare them as even as a tractor it'll fly totally different.
Wing loading, airframe stiffness, design, airfoil, all up weight.. The list goes on.

Honest opinion... Learn to launch wings pizza style, its not that hard bro.

Ps I'm not an RVJet fanboy... Don't own one, might do if they weren't $350 to ship one to Oz.

    ChrisG.
no comparo whatsoever, but just another FPV different style.
I've had those two planes on your avatar. In fact a lot, so just adding a different
    dimension....

    p.s.
PM me your address, if all goes well, I will send you a complete system including a RVJet
for Testing..... I would love to know only the negatives, so that it can be corrected!

You really have to own one to try it:-)
Your two planes on your avatar is faster!

I think it would be a fantastic idea. Although, I would miss the PnT as that is the best feature of the Rvjet. Would really like to see how different it would fly. I am intrigued.

I say go for it! It will be very interesting to see the outcome.

If you used two smaller motors you could have a tractor configuration but still be able to use the PnT. I think this might increase interest. Start with two tractor motors and have one large prop in the rear for those really quick climbs.

    Thanks for the support!

I'm not doing the two motor setup, this is strictly motor in the middle! (Simple!).

I wanted this setup because my Tractor SuperAlulah Fuselage kept cracking on me.
Rough areas' around me. I loved that plane soo much!

I asked RObert to make a tough EPP/EPO (very dense) fuselage
for the SuperAlulah and he never responded back.

I love the Tractor setup soo much that I came up with this idea of using my RVJet Tractor Style!.
It may not suite everyone, but its for those that have a lot of FPV planes and want something
different (something to add to their fleet)......
or for a Newbie who is concerned about Pusher-Prop cutting their
hands.... plus it has the easiness of hand launching a Tractor style wing!
Its soo powerful and a lot easier to 'hand' launch with a lot weight!

When it is all done, I will post EzOSD data numbers on flight envelope!
As Always, I'm after that Long FLight times, fast/slow flights, and faster cruising/gliding
criteria..... I'm going to load it with 2x 3s-5000mah using 'RV PowerPackage'....

    p.s.
I'm sure the Chinese are on to me, they are reading what I'm typing
    and copying as we speak

Me likes new ideas... not very good at them but likes all the same..

Looking at the thing, it looks like a guy with some ingenuity could make a swap out module to use the camera or the motor? (undoubtedly more work than fun).. I can tell you after seeing what one of these big props can do, I would be slightly wary of the pusher prop myself..

I'm not sure which OSD you use, but perhaps you could get a firmware update which simply places an animation of a propeller in the centre of the screen??

(Only teasing, I can certainly understand the attraction of seeing 'working parts' when flying)

Seeing working parts while FPV'ing is much enjoyable for me.
ie.... "crd" from RCG is making templates of a moving cockpit
(moving JoyStick and Guages) that most can buy.
In July, after the PECAN PATCH FPV meet he will start mocking/cutting them up.

When I FPV my SUMMIT, I place my CCD camera all the way in the back, and when I
Rock Crawl, I can see the Suspension and Tires move up/down! You cannot get more
immersive then that! Its a great sight!....
Similiar to the reason why I love seeing prop in view
    at my controls....

    To each his own!
(I read that seeing moving parts while FPV'ing is like driving a School Bus from the Back).
    That guy was very miserable:-/

When I had an Art-Tech Diamond 2500 I often thought about putting my FPV camera on the T-tail. This would effectively give you TPV (Third Person View) flying, opposed to FPV.

I never did it though - but I should have.
