    Please place only useful and constructive comments.
    Our presence at the forum is to help our customers and friends. We're not prohibiting negative comments, but we will not tolerate bashers or conflict starters.
    We use what we sell, and besides there are tons of LawMate users that are very satisfied with the performance and range of their system.
    We're working with LawMate to make their systems better for our FPV community.

    Thanks,

    HW,
    thanks for deleting my comments.
    I just commented because I've had three that overheated, and 2 where the wires fell off.

    Now you mentioned that Your still working with LM about 'bugs'....so your selling these with 'bugs' now.

    Not Good!

    Sir, the high impedance mentioned was about receivers. And your problem is related to transmitter overheating issue, which indeed happened to some old transmitters in the past, but are no longer present on the new version of 1.2GHz transmitters.
    You don't have to be unfriendly because you had a bad experience with a certain product, in fact you could have returned it to the vendor where you purchased it from and asked for refund.
    We replaced every faulty transmitter for customers that contacted us about it, so did Lawmate.
    Did you buy it from us?
    If yes, just let me know your order number and we will take care it for you.

    Thanks,

    I just went through a major re-adjusting of video output levels relating to the following items that differ vastly from 75ohm industry standard.

    1.2Ghz Rx, DMM measurement Z = 1040ohms
    ==> 75-80ohms parallel (VID / GND)to bring levels down
    2.4Ghz Rx, DMM measurement Z = 1040ohms
    ==> 75-80ohms parallel (VID / GND)to bring levels down
    Lawmate DVR PV500 Eco Z = 150ohms
    ==> 150ohms parallel (VID / GND)to bring levels down

    stock lawmate stuff works astonighlishly bad with any other product due to this issue...

    thoughts?

    Hi gentlemen,
    I'm not sure where this is going anymore. My one and only question was whether you guys - from hobby wireless - have measured the output impedance of the the new LM 1.2Ghz VTx (see highlighted in bold). This has not been answered.

    I encountered the the above stated problems with lawmate gear, which means I am using it: for the reason that I believe they have more stringent quality control than Chinese models. My gear works as intended besides these issues, the fix is more or less easy and cheap, the method is also shown above. I would appreciate it if the question could be answered, I also own several LM vTX, they have this problem, too, hence the question to save future users from some trouble and offer a fix. No bad intentions here, just sharing experiences because there is always room for improvement.

    Hi Dionysos,

    The reason I didn't respond to your question was because I thought you referred to impedance of the receiver not the VTX, my bad.
    I honestly don't have the results of the test for the VTX, but I give you my word to get this information for you.
    Again, we didn't take your comments negatively, not at all. You came with very important point, and I will go after that information for you.

    Update: 1.2 GHz 1W Tx impedance is 75Ω.

    Best regards,
    Wilson.

    I have a lawmate 500mw 1.2ghz and it's been performing exceptionally well and reliable (15km range with almost perfect image). The only issue I had was the plug was very loose, to the point were it would lose connection while flying, so I had to resolder. Many more successfully flights since then, and I'm looking to replace my 2 y/o unit, looking very corroded and I want to play it safe. However I see all the new ones takes 12v, which means a lot of rewiring to get 12v to the wing tip.. Any 5v's around?

    Outstanding range!
    Yeah, we have the Lawmate 500mW available in stock.
    In fact, we have two versions of it and both can be powered using 5 VDC.

    1- Lawmate T512 500mW 5V is the transmitter module with wireless for power, audio and video input.

    2- Lawmate TX-V512 500mW 5-12V plug and play is the same T512 transmitter with a custom plug and play board for FPV with built-in microphone, voltage regulator and reverse-polarity protection circuit.
