Boscam transmitter and tbs core, 5 or 12V?

I have a boscam 400mw transmitter and going to solder it on tbs core can I put it on 5 volts or does it require 12v?

Have heard that it gets very hot with 12v.

So 5 or 12 v to the boscam vtx?

    Kind regards Defuncta
