well, there is the whole 'HD' argument, but I agree - that's why I have a replay xd1080; the form factor is much nicer to work with in terms of aerodynamics. I'll take a cylindrical profile over a brick any day. in terms of weight, I'm not sure whether the go pro is heavier or not.

has anyone tested the replay xd for interference, or should I fire up the RFE and do a couple sweeps?
Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

^ I did ground tests... it does not affect my control in any way whatsoever.

I fired up the RFE and did a quick sweep; this is by no means comprehensive data since I didn't have the RFE hooked up to the laptop for logging purposes, but with a Transcend 16GB class 10 MicroSD card in the Replay, there was no discernible difference in noise floor between the camera powered off, the camera powered on, and the camera powered on and recording in 1080P 30FPS.

RFE has a Nagoya NA-773 antenna on it, and the camera was 6 inches away from the RF Explorer.

I'll do a couple more tests and log the data to the laptop for screenshots - I only have the one microSD card handy at the moment so I can't offer tests of multiple cards, but I will do a couple more recording tests in various resolutions/framerates.

    HAH....HAHA.....AHAHAHAHA....

I would use another cam, except my plane already weighs 4 lbs, and Sweet Brown once told me: "A 2nd Camera? Ain't Nobody Got Time Fo' Dat."

Is it necessary to ground the foil or does just wrapping the GoPro in copper without grounding work?
