I use 1.2ghz. What is the very best resolution I can expect?
What is the biggest monitor I could use to view this resolution?

    Currently I have a:

    12.1" 800x600 screen from Hobby Wireless. http://hobbywireless.com/video-monit...or-p-1068.html

Foxeer XAT600 Sony Super HAD CCD 600TVL FPV IR Block Camera http://www.surveilzone.com/fpv/fpv-c...era-2.8mm-lens

Any help would is appreciated. My apologies for not grasping this right away.
You are currently about at the limit of analog resolution. A 800TVL camera could yield slightly better picture quality however its not worth the cost. The two different video formats, NTSC and PAL are limited to 720x480 and 720x576 respectively. PAL is limited to 25 frames per second while NTSC is limited to 30 fps. Unless you purchase or make your own digital system, you have already bought the best FPV equipment

    Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, if I got a 1080p 32 inch TV, wold I get a very pixelated picture or would the TV just stretch the image?

It wouldn't look any different than it currently does. It would look bigger. It wouldn't fill the screen as pal/ntsc is 3/2 and your tv is 16/9. So the screen won't be filled completely.

So it's actually possible to increase the frame rate on a 5.8 Ghz transmission system? How does one typically go about that? Is that a standard option of most transmitters/receivers/monitor systems? Or something only a pro can do?

    Nice topic!

Recently, started with PAL/NTSC cams for 3d fpv and had the same question about the max
    TVL's ( and the 'analog' pixel-resoluition horizontal ).
    Started using 600TVL cam's.

Gonna do it step by step and will later show results.

    My parts:

    - 2 cams 600TVL
    - DIY pcb with 2 cam-signals in and 1 video-signal out, for 3d creating
    - 600mW tranamitter 5.8GHz

    - USB receiver USV 5.8GHZ
    - AV receiver 5.8GHz RC832

    - Helicopter V915

    Kind regards.

I don't mean to dig up an old post but coming back a few years later, I don't think that analog systems would be much good anywhere. I'd recommend you use a digital system with a much better resolution.

For the time being, I'll keep playing around with analog FPV,alt least "from cams to trasnmitter"
