    Hi there,
I would like to change frame of my class500, and give a try with qav400.
the motors I got are emax MT2213, now running in 3S and 1050, close to 15min flight.
I need to change esc to 30A as I would like to run 4S with 8045 (maybe 3 leaves).
those motors only 935kv, does it sound enough for usual users?
    regards from France,
    Christophe

it looks like those motors are 920 kv? what size esc do you have right now? and 3 leave means 3 blade prop?

i have several qav400's and have both 980 and 1100 kv motors with 4s 3300mh battery and 2 blade stiff carbon fiber prop and they both work wonderful. the 980 does not have as much punch but last a little longer. all have 30amp esc

the actual esc is 12A (probably emax 12A).
yes 3 leaves means 3 blades, I thought those can deliver enough power with 920kv motors.

the project is to switch actual frame to qav400 frame with new 30A esc, that is probably a good start to run 4S, better motors later...

4s 3300mh with 920kv and 2 blade prop will work fine. upgrade later to some hobby king 1200kv for more punch

Hey! Im sure this is answered here already somewhere but the search isn't coming up with anything. I'm building the qav400 w/ g10 arms and I've run into a issue. The g10 arms are not threaded so I have assumed the included long screws are for use w/ these arms. My question is, which side of the arm does the spacer go on? Should the arms be on the PDB or the top dirty plate? Thanks!

    Hello Flech3k,
That's a good question. The spacer will need to go on the bottom of the arm. The same is for the QAV400 and QAV500 with the G10 arms. And yes you are to use the long screws and nylon locking nuts with the G10 arms.

So the order from top to bottom should be: PDB, G10 arm, spacer, dirty plate.

I am a long time owner of the QAV400, and I still fly it every chance I get.
