Hi Trimax, I don't have any specs on the DominatorHD as its all in design phase and prototyping right now and subject to revisions.

If your only going 1/4 of a mile you don't "need" a ground station. Farthest I have been on my -90dB 5.8Ghz goggles module is 4,000+ feet which is over 3/4 a mile

Hi 5.8ghz video doesn't have very good penetration though objects so flying behind object's and including trees sometimes your video wil drop in and out .2.4ghz for video on the other hand witch is what i use does have better penetration properties.going down the scale 1.3 1.2 and 900mhz has the best but there's strict rules in different countries ref what freq you can use hope that helps'

Since you are in the US you can jump to the 1.3 or 2.4

I have been behind plenty of trees with my set of Omni's and no drop out but I was only 1/4 a mile away....

I only fly my Multi so won't be going for any "miles" records, i'd use a plane for that

New Fat Shark products for 2013

Quick question - Can you say yet if the Dominator HD's will work with the existing Rx and HT modules?

Ie, can I move the modules from my current dominators straight the the Dom HD's?

I'll second that Zee, kinda defeats the purpose of 'modularity' if you couldn't swap modules between models.
