Lumenier motors look really nice, but they don't make as much power as a lot of other motors on the market. Lumenier are also quite expensive.
I'd go emax red bottoms over any lumineer motors.

I thought this too. I do like the idea of the frame being more aerodynamic, but yeah, the battery is going to create drag anyway.
Maybe someone will bring out cube shaped batteries :P

I've narrowed my drop out issues to the XM30a Mini ESCs as mentioned in my video:

    2600KV+6S is insane RPM.
I wonder if you'd get a better top speed with 4" props?

These new ESCs might be the way to go for future record breaking speed quads.

Are those red bottoms 2300KV or 2600KV?

I have a set of those quad blades and although their static thrust is not bad, they don't make you go very fast in the air.

I don't think tri blade BN props is a good idea on 2204 motors, too much load. I like 5x4x3 on my 2204s best for acro. DYS have some out which are stronger and cheaper than the HQs.

    Top Speed Quad

So here is my top speed quad which I will be testing out very soon.
    Specs:
    RCX 2208 2000KV motors
    XMS30A ESCs
6" props, though I will try some 5" too to compare speeds. I have many different...

    Interesting problem.
    I didn't know you could have set yaw_rate = 255
I thought the max value was 100.

Also, do you have any pics of your quad?

I wouldn't expect that kind of behavior from a bad battery.
To check if it's your ESCs, go into the motor tab in cleanflight configurator, and run each motor up and make sure they spin ok.
