Sticky: Anyone tried the new Tiger Carbon Props aka "V2"?

If they increased my flight time from 8min to 20min, I'd pay the extra cash ;)

    BUILD : My QAV500

Akoni, I've only had this, the little brother QAV400 and the HT-FPV. I like the QAV series a lot as the vibration is minimized. I know thee seem to be several designs like this, but I can speak for...
  7. What can go wrong if you climb to over 4000 ft high and then free fall?

I wouldn't shut them all the way down BC your props might start to spin in reverse and could damage your escs.

    Dive or go inverted!

Are you going to be running them on 4S? I think they should be plenty with 10in props. I was using MT2216-900kv motors for awhile. They had plenty of pop on my QAV500.

I'm actually not using the nylocks anymore. I use regular nuts and they have never gotten loose on me. It helps to give them a little check every so often.
  11. need help with setting up tbs discovery with naza and dx8

Did you go through the manual and check to see if you missed any calibration steps? What LED indicators are you seeing when you power up? Naza may not be starting up if its in "warm-up" or if your...

    Fly it or not?

Good call. The graupner props seem much more brittle than say APC props. I wouldn't use that one again. It could snap under load causing your whole rig to come down and explode into bits. Better to...

Thanks, it was a pretty easy build. I also bought their Stage Zero kit for longer distances. It's not as portable as the 3ft DIY, but it's definitely a well made kit.

I would definitely follow the recommendation to move your satellite 6in away from the main Rx. I haven't tried the Spektrum telemetry, but it looks like something very useful.
  22. Sticky: The QAV400 FPV Quad Frame by fpvmanuals

Thanks. It took me maybe two hours (including flashing escs, trimming wires, braiding wire) in 3-4 sittings. I have a new baby, so I was "on call" during this build.

    Naza or CC3D on QAV500

I've got a CC3D on my 500 and my 400. It's really great once you dial it in, there are less components to connect and makes for a neater build. You can really fine tune a CC3D to your liking. Don't...
