I don't have the mask for the cinemizer myself, but I have another type of mask from Rob, similar to this one. They are very comfortable to wear for longer flights, and they look cool too! And I can wear the mask without having to take my glasses off, which is very useful too.

Hi Rob,

Not sure if you got my earlier message, and now I lost the thread, but remembered your signature.

I am a large FPV fan and fly almost every day and need a good and reliable googles to work with.
I am interested in a Cinemizer with mask.

But I like it to work as expected, vision and hearing has to be OK.
Do you have any in mint condition then I´m interested.

Ok just did my first fpv flight with the cinemizer. One word WOW. I have so much more detail with the cinemizer compared to my dominator. The doms i could never get right and always a bit washed out picture. ground to dark or clouds to light. With the cinemizer everything is in balance. great cloud details and great ground details. Rob thank you for getting me this upgrade :) .

How do I even get this piece off? Posting one of Ians photos below.

I removed the two screws and unhooked the cable but there are no more screws to get the arm off the display, do I just snap it?

Managed to do it following the instructions on that page.. I used a couple of small screw drivers to gently pry away the front cover from the top and bottom of the glasses so that the hinge pin hole is visible. Then I pushed the hinge pin through with a paper clip. It helps if you have 3 hands.

Here's a link to the quick guide for these goggles. One thing I learned: the multi-function switch can control brightness as well as volume and 3d/2d mode:

hi guys

about mount a cm plus or any video goggle in a mask

i alwase do that like this

furst 1
then 2
then 3

don,t start whit big pice of dubble tape
just smal 1x1 cm
you have to fine tune video goggle in mask on your eyes
so meybe you have to tray is 5x
so better,,viedo google easy in and out,,to test

if you got point 1 and 2 ready then ??? 3 or 6 mm dubbeltape in the back on mask
then tune point 3 and you can gluw cinemizer on edge in mask
or at some foam around

I received my Cinemizer plus and goggles from Rob. And just tried them 'as is', they look beautiful. Goggles are slick too, as expected.

Before I chop up the arms to get them into the goggles, has anyone used the Cinemizer sun shades? http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1142

And can you give an opinion about how well that works?

Thanks

I just got mine as well.
One thing that is odd though is that with the supplied rca to 3.5mm jack
i only get video if i connect red to yellow and white to red on a 3.5mm to rca cable i normally use for my dvr
and pull the plug out like 50% again and wiggle around a bit.

Not sure if I mixed up the colors while resoldering the wires to the flat band adapter cable but I wrote it down before hand so I don't think so
(forgott to check before modding them)
Any ideas?

What I wrote down color wise was having the connectors on the left and lower edge.
Red Black Yellow Orange
Purple Blue Green Brown

Can anyone check?

On Page 10 of the quick guide above it shows the layout of the pins. I found that this pin layout is unique. The FatSharks for instance have pin 1 and 2 reversed I believe. I wanted to build my own cable that had a female RCA jack on one end. Using the quick guide, I was able to modify an existing cable I had to match that pin layout and its now working perfectly.

Anyway it is working fine now.
I think the plug into my dominators which I am using as a 5.8g rx right now was not plugged in completely.

Everything is great, rob your amazing!

Thanks Rob! Mine have just arrived in Hong Kong. Struggling to get a 4 pole jack combo to work out of my existing lead spaghetti collection. Off to the components market now to cobble something together.

A few questions
(1) Has anyone found a link to the original manual (not the quick set up guide) - curious what the wheel and buttons are supposed to do.
(2) quite fancy the idea of hooking them up to an ipad now and then for the kids - anyone come across a source of iphone connector kits?
(3) I am trying to find out, what the audio slot does on the cinemizer box - if i say hook up an ipad / iphone will audio be available through head phones plugged in through that - this would help when i mod them to ski goggles and remove the audio arms on the CMs

Can someone take a picture of the pin that has to be removed to take the arms off? I can't seem to figure it out and am about to just snap them off or cut them off with a dremel tool.

Thanks!

They're hidden under the plastic front cover, which you can slightly bend forward, then you can stick something thin in there and push the rod out (cover is over both holes)

In the page above, on step 9 it says "9. With a thin ‘pokey’ tool, push the side-arm hinge-pin out (this will require you to gentle lever away the Cinemizer goggles’ front cover a bit) and remove the right side-arm from the Cinemizer goggles."

the pin is slightly covered. You have to push away the edge of the goggles. Hope this picture helps:

Answering my own question, this slot does transmit audio through it into headphones rather than the cm earphones.

For the mod - how are people fixing the CMs in the goggles? - stuffing a load of foam behind them as a starter? May finally need to get some hotglue or something to finish this job, though think sugu might be better.

Sugru ftw. Cheap, ships fast and is overall just great.

I'd like to see some pics of how the Cinemizer A/V wire runs out of the FPV-Plastics Goggle. I've seen a lot of different methods but either they don't show that particular view, or they aren't using the FPV-Plastic's Goggle. Thanks for any/all help

Is this what you are talking about? I went the easy rout and simply put a slit in the face foam of the goggles and routed the cable through it and glued it back together and zip tied the cable to the plastic head strap buckle.
