View Full Version : RiteWing Demon 40 help

I need some help getting my Demon 40 to fly just right.
Here is a link where I was looking to sell it, but if I can fix the flight characteristics, I'll keep it.
The problem is with throttle setting changing pitch for the plane. I know that's likely a thrustline issue with the motor mount, but I can't get it right.
My second issue with with roll rates. I have enough rate to complete nice turns controllably, but it does a full roll extremely slowly, and when rolling against the prop direction, almost too slow to complete safely.
If there are other pics I can post to help just let me know.
Thanks in advance,

you should be able to bend the motor mount to have no effect on the pitch when on the throttle. on a demon you should be shooting the thrust line almost straight down the centre of the airfoil, maybe a tiny bit towards straight with the bottom of the airfoil. as for the rates, if you maxed out the throws and its still not enough try moving the clevis down a hole or 2 on the elevon side.

hope this helps.

for future refrence if you need help with a ritewing build, this is the best thread https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=684818
