I figured the main post is getting so long it becomes increasingly hard to keep good power train info easily accessible.

My first tank is flying:
Tiger MT2216-9 1100kv
10x5.5 APC-MR
4s3300
30amp Tiger esc's

Pixhawk reports hover throttle is stable at 43%, can do FFF for 10-12 min on cheap zippy packs and heavy. At 100% throttle the max level ground speed is 53mph @ 45*AOA. Quite quick for a heavy 400 sized quad.

IMO 10x5.5 apc-mr's are as aggressive as you should probably prop 70-80gr 1100kv motors on 4s. they come down warm & ESC's will get hot. long term 10x4.5's or 9x5.5's are the way to go, mostly depending on what frame arms you have on.

Here is my power setup:

SunnySky V2216 800kv Brushless Motor (http://www.multirotorsuperstore.com/motors/motors-sunnysky/sunnysky-v2216-800kv-brushless-motor.html)
MS 30amp ESC (SimonK RapidESC) (http://www.multirotorsuperstore.com/electronic-speed-controller/ms-30amp-esc-simonk-rapidesc.html)
10x5.5 APC-MR
4s3300mAh or 4s4000mAh
Flight Controller Acro NAZE32 (Rev4)
KVOSD

10 minutes with the 3000mAh battery and 15+ with the 4000mAh battery. Payload is cased 2.3GHz 400mW VTx, metal cased PZ0420, and GoPro H3B in 3D printed frame. I will post a couple pictures and the AUW with each battery pack this evening or tomorrow.

I made my own booms from HK500 Carbon Fiber Tail Booms (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__10813__CF_Tail_Boom_for_Align_T_Rex_and_HK_500_H elicopters_.html) (before extended booms were available at Flying Cinema). These have a much thinner wall than what is avaliable from Flying Cinema, I recommend going with their offering over the route that I took.

Sample footage (added YT stabilization and it did some funky things... it is being removed now, may take a few minutes):
