Well, don't go into spins you can't pull out of.

Quick test in the cold after work to play with some new PID's and I decided to mess around. Turns out I was closer to the ground then I thought...

Ahh well, live and learn. Part of the hobby, right?

Already ordered:

1x Clean plate
2x Dirty plates
2x 30A Afro's
More 8x5 HQ E-Props (LOVE these!)
1x 3300mAh battery (I make it a rule to order a new battery when placing a HK order)

Umm ouch. I turned my quad off at 50m up because I didn't have proper control and I didn't want a fly away. I only broke arms, props and nylon bolts though. Yours is very cringe worthy! You should sell the ESCs (or donate them) to someone for parts.

Oh bummer!.... Want a replacement? (http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread.php?27511-400Q-ARF-Spares) :)

Haha, thanks for the offer. I already bought all the parts I need to put it back together.

Byro I bought 2 more ESC's but I'm only sure of one (the one that's taco'ed in half! LOL) being toast. Can't hurt to have an extra though.

I wouldn't advocate pushing known damaged parts into someone else's build. That's messed up.

Yeah, you broke it real good, I was going to suggest duct-tape, but that might not be enough this time around.

I meant for the electrical components not as a working esc.

Hell if that one that's bent in half still works i'll use it for something.. Definitely going to try it.

Use a separate BEC and use it on a airplane. Then if it conks out, just say you had a bad fuel mix.

Looks like that last move saved the camera... at least you can be happy it wasn't worse? :)

Definitely. Honestly I'm not in the least upset. I did something stupid and payed for it.. The most expensive single part that needed to be replaced was the ESC and those are only $13. Needed two dirty plates, the top plate and some bobbins and after a few hours work, she'll be good as new.

No pain, no gain... as they say. :)

You should get a medal for breaking it so badly.

Imagine how they feel when they have a bad crash and have to spend less than $20\shipped for a new arm. And its normally shipped in 24 hours or less...

I usually send free stuff if people crash bad enough. When I had a Hoverthings frame, Tom usually gave me "Buy one get one free" arms. I like being able to help people out if something shitty happens.

Nope, just a HERO2 strapped to the front.

That stuff was pink packing foam I was using as landing gear.

Congrats dude :) I've only managed to break an arm or a prop so far. Never damaged a motor or electronics. Maybe next time.

Hell, I bought this quad knowing that this had happened. Just had my maiden with it a few minutes ago. Hopefully, I will someday taco it is a similar fashion.
