brand new to fpv. I have been flying for 10+ yrs.

I picked up this system from ebay FatShark V3 FPV Goggles System w/Camera and 5.8G TX and I cannot get the camera light to turn on.

Everything is plugged in according to the manual

I fully charged the batteries, and the googles are displaying a grey screen.

Is this broke, or am I not doing something correctly?

Can you post a picture or schematic how everything is wired up? What camera is it? Could it be a 12V camera you're trying to feed with 5V? Or perhaps pushing 12v into a 5v camera?

Also, did you go through all the channels on both the Vtx (tiny dipswitches underneath the shrinkwrap) and Goggles?

Grey screen = reception from vtx, but the vtx doesn't have a signal feed. The problem is either a broken connection between the vtx and camera, a broken camera or your camera is simply not turned on (or powered by the wrong voltage).

Or if you're like me, you left the lense cap on.

I just had that problem, turned out the ground wire had pulled out of the 4 pin connector that plugs into the camera. Never know...
