I am looking for a good and cheap osd to put on my wild thumper. under $100. I read here that the hobbyking cheap osd don't work that great.

What are you after with your OSD

I am looking for a osd with 2 voltage monitoring. Amp and mah consume would be a nice extra. I was also thinking if I should go with something with more features so I could transfer it to the plane in the future. After doing more research I found out that remzibis osd sold on ebay are clones and dont have support.
My next choice would be this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150902892552&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

I'm pretty sure any one would work for you, just do a fair amount of research into the layout configurations, prices, and features.

Since it will be ground based to begin with, I would take extra care to look at something that is more open source. I say this mostly because you may want to add something like a speedometer later on, and most air based OSDs will have no way of facilitating that.

The clone versions of OSDs like the Remzibi are only officially unsupported. Due to their nature, they are carbon copies of the original product, and all code/hardware/support will work with the clones with no true modification.

I believe Bluestreak uses Eagle Tree because of the tracker her has. Failing that, if you're electronically savvy, an open source solution like http://code.google.com/p/cl-osd/ would do. Either one can have the information modified so that it only shows information pertinent for ground use.
