    Futaba 9c

    Hi guys,
After managing to destoy my DX7, I have just bought a 9c that I will be useing FPV on chainlink or dragon-link.
However I was going to use it on 2.4 as well, but I have read that the mixing is a bit slow for helis, now is this just for those who feel they need the fastest possible. As I only fly scale, with the odd loop and roll thrown in, would a 9c do the job, or should I be looking at gettting another DX-7??

I have a 9CHP for years (for helis, planes, gliders ). Never noticed any slow mixing whatsoever... I´m far from being Alan Szabo but the small 450 I have surely demands quick controls and the Fut does the job alright.

I thought it strange that it could be that slow, thanks for the feedback.

    slow...?

    That's a new one.

I have a 9CHP that was purchased new around the time they came out (2000/20001?) it has been a ROCK SOLID transmitter for 10 years. It's faster than I will ever be able to tell that its slow.

I have a 9C 35mhz and I love it to bits... I use a Spectrum 2.4 modul for 2.4 resicers and it works like a dream...

Anyone got a link to a direct replacement for the temporary trainer switch to make that switch a non-temporary toggle switch?

    EDIT:

Found the right Google search term "Futaba 2 position switch"

Hia again guys, Well I feel a lot better about the 9c purchase now that I have discoverd that speed/mixing issues are related to the guys who are into hard 3d.
So I have a couple of questions. As I am going to be doing a mode change, what if any mods should I be considering for FPV to make it more useable/ user friendly?
Secondly, how to control pan tilt, and last but not least, who makes a good 2.4 DSM2 module for the 9c?

Pan-tilt is best controlled via head-tracker connected to trainer port. Also some people disconnect rudder and use rudder stick for panning.

The original 72mhz will be much better for FPV than the 2.4 in terms of range and immunity to video interference.
