    Question kkquad range problem

    hi,

I have a problem with my kkquad =/ ( old jackub board )
I have tested my range with and without the escs plugged and I only have 10 meter of range when they are plugged. (The Fpv is not mounted yet)

I have tested to put some ferrite ring on the esc wire but it's not better.

Do you have an idea of how to resolve this ?

    Thanks !

    Duke

Yes - we'd love to help!! What receiver/transmitter combo are you using. Also what ESC?? Can you post pics of your setup and label components??

Can you measure how long your antenna (rx) is? (sometimes the ends break off and you don't notice). Also - make sure you have failsafes turned off on the Coronas - it improves the range.

The length of the antenna is good because I have changed it . Calculated with http://www.csgnetwork.com/antennaevcalc.html (41.020Mhz)

I have also tested with another corona and I have the same result.

I will check if the failsafe is turned off or not thanks !

EDIT: I did some more test during the afternoon and it seems that the esc are not the problem
Because when I plug directly the esc on the rx the range is very good .

But when I pass through the board the range is very bad. The kkboard maybe create some noise on the rx

Ok - so in that case put a toroid just before the rx and retest.

You are about 6 turns short of an effective filter.
