We have done a lot of testing and all Pixim cameras came out clean.

the SC2000 camera is a completely different hardware platform, with different size, noise and power consumption characteristics. From what we've seen, SC2000's camera are the "reference designs" from Pixim, meaning they have a minimal set of features implemented. The TBS69 has more configuration options (compareable to DX201). This means you can configure the camera for FPV purposes.
    Hello,

I'm sorry, it seams I missed this post. It answer my question. Anyway, thank you.

just got this cam in the mail. Seems like everything I've ever purchased was a waste of money with these new TBS products. Perhaps i can use my larger more pain in the ass sc2000 pixim seawolf board cam for a cheaper plane in the future.

Anyway, before I get too excited and start playing with settings. I know there is custom firmware on the cam, does the custom firmware include the suggested settings from the riscyd video, or do I need to do that?

the suggested settings are pre-loaded onto the camera. they will also be present if you hit the "reset to default", so feel free to play around

thanks Trappy! lol, that's why i bought your camera, was tired of playing around with my sc2000 35x35mm board version, plus it didn't fit in your camera box. I know there are other reasons why yours is better, but I seriously hated trying to dial that thing in.

I haven't been through the whole thread, but was it ever mentioned what size screws are used for fastening the tbs69 to the front plate on the discovery? Also, any pics of the cam shrink wrapped? I did see that was a possibility and it piqued my interest. Thanks in advance!

I thought that they were M2 screws.

This 69 camera is pretty amazing. I've been using a 700 cam for awhile and wanted to try this tbs version. The color and clarity is really good and it allowed me to see much more detail than I was used to. I love the features and setup options as well. Anyone thinking of buying one shouldn't hesitate. It's worth it.

In some places that still don't use the metric system, small metric hardware can be hard to find. The camera does not include mounting screws for the Disco plate. I found that M2 by 4mm cap screws worked well, but were hard to find locally. You might want to find a source for the mounting screws while awaiting the camera's arrival.
