Psylokz, did you know that your link to Amazon above contains an affiliate link?

    Cheers,

Hah! I copied/pasted from Tim's site (RMRC) from his product page.
If he gets any type of kickback for it, kudos to Tim!

Got my FPV-Japan in yesterday. Just waiting on the batteries, hopefully today, and then going to try it out.

Ah, well… no worries! Tim’s a good guy, and I’d go with his recommendations. If he linked to those SD cards, I’d say you’re good.

Hi Ren, sorry to bother you with this...
I wanted to purchase your DVR but a buddy of mine was ordering the bevrc one, so I said ok, order me one as well.

Really regretting it right now... the unit works, but I have some software issues I gues...

A quote I posted in the Bevrc topic:
Ok, tested the DVR on 1 rx, on both AV outputs but still the same CRAP, bevrc is not responding to my emails so I'm hooked up with a faulte DVR.
Last time I buy something from them, had to wait 3 months for this piece of **** and pay an additional 100 dollars for it because BEVRC didn't even took the effort to put CE on it.

Do any of you guys please know what's wrong with this thing, I keep loosing my HUD from the OSD on the recording while on my goggles or 7"tft I never loose that.
It appears to be happening when the dvr looses input for a second (while it's vibrating) and after it gets video back the HUD has disappeared...
When this unit dies, I go for fpv-japan, bevrc is the worst shop I've ever dealt with...

    Thanks on advance,

    Sam

What's different in those DVR's from other sites while they cost almost half price ????

I'm happy with my DVRJapan ordered from FPVJapan just curious what they selling ? is it worth to buy ?

The sordid details... Behind the scenes for the first and last time

    Hi Marcin,

There is some history that you should know about FPV-Japan and the DVR-SD4.
And now is as good a time as any to let this cat out of the bag.

    http://pastebin.com/JP0FZw3J

So that's why I'd rather you didn't name those two particular websites here inside the FPV-Japan area.

Please don't misunderstand me. You or anyone asking honest questions is absolutely not a problem.
Free lunch for them? Not likely.
Negative feedback why not. FPVsam case in point.

I know you did not mean any harm but now you know.
I even get people who bought from those sites asking for help or spares and I can only say sorry

From time to time someone will question my technical background. If you have a PayPal receipt from me just google my name and address with the word 'patent' thrown in for good measure. I wouldn't be surprised if 'sucker' in Chinese comes up too.

That said and with the sound advice of Tim from RMRC I have taken a step back and now (sadly) my dealings with China are strictly business, over the counter.

To answer your question about pricing. Well our parts cost a bit more for one. If you read through the pastebin you will have understood the amount of effort put into maturing the product. And I go out of my way to provide the best service I can. Far from perfect but improving.

But let's not forget that lunch in China is a bit cheaper than lunch everywhere else. Plus we gotta ship our goods from the factory to our warehouse/office (as does the rest of the world). We also have to make it worthwhile for a vendor like Tim to carry our products. We also have to support him. Tim understands and respects the effort put into the product and is happy for me to handle the trials and tribulations of dealing with China.

Anyway as we prepare to relaunch the web shop we are slowly starting to drop the price but it will never go below $160. We will on the other hand provide more accessories and have reduced shipping costs.
People who have purchased the DVR-SD4 over roughly the last 6 months will get some good discounts should they purchase from the new shop. Opening real soon!

    Thanks,

    Ren
