    Band on recorded vide, any ideas whats causing it ?

    The maiden with the Skywalker went well, my reception was pretty good............ in my goggles

    But Paul kept saying there was banding, banding i just couldn`t see until we copied the video over from the archos, this is a short clip of what i mean

    Any ideas whats causing it, we were on the same transmitters, same ground station, but different cams and osd`s

    Im not sure whats causing it

    I should add, im sharing someone elses gs, we are both using Immersion 5.8ghz vtx`s, his picture is fine, mine throughout the flight looks like that

    As a test can you try turning off the text border in the dosd menu, if this stops it put a 100 ohm resister on the VTX wires between video and ground.

    Ah thanks Mark, you may have a very good point, last time, same setup it didnt do it, but i had boaders off

    This happened to me when I was on the wrong frequency (2410 instead of 2414).
    Tractors are where it's at.

    It's poor video synchronization. It can be caused by anything from excessive color saturation to VTX impedance to improper battery voltage. Sometimes it's just tough to tell.

    Its only when i have the black boarders surrounding the text Alex

    Strange though how im my goggles the pictures fne, but in my flying buddies goggles and when recorded on the archos its there clear as day
